We've all heard the saying and song, "Don't worry be happy."
Or "Don't fill your head with worries" means to avoid letting anxieties and negative thoughts consume your mind, encouraging you to focus on the present moment and not dwell on potential problems that might not even happen.
Key points about this phrase:
Focus on the present:
Rather than constantly thinking about future uncertainties, try to stay grounded in what is happening now.
Reduce stress:
Worrying can significantly increase stress levels, so actively pushing away negative thoughts can help you feel calmer.
Positive mindset:
By choosing to not let worries take over, you can cultivate a more optimistic outlook.

First, tip is to practice grace. Any healing journey is not linear. So, release that thought and set yourself free from the burden of expecting it to happen in a specific time frame.
Second, slow down and give your thoughts a moment to catch up to your reality. If you are not in any real danger right this very second, then it is vital to speak these words immediately:
I am safe
I am peaceful
I am OK
I am calm
It will be OK
I'm healing, not broken
I'm learning
I'm growing
I accept myself as I am
I love and appreciate my body
I love and appreciate my brain
I love and appreciate my breath
The brain tells the body to signal danger due to our thoughts, triggers, and emotions. In the same way it doesn't know if what you are saying is true or not. You might feel excited about an upcoming event but your body is experiencing what feels like anxiety. It has been trained to feel that energy pulsing through your body and needs to be retrained by what you think and say to yourself. In that moment of feeling the excess energy it is important to immediately say, "I am excited not nervous or afraid. I am feeling so happy. I am feeling energized. I am feeling proud, joyful, hopeful, etc."
And as you consciously affirm what you are now feeling and experiencing the body will learn right along with you. It will learn how to be peaceful and calm in new situations, places and with people. And you will learn when people, places or new experiences are NOT safe. Don't ignore the signals the body sends - simply be sure to check if they are true for this present time and your healing journey, or if they are true warning to heed.
Third, turn off all social media, TV, etc. that is over stimulating your mind and body. Get quiet and breathe. Use the following breath prayer to calm your mind and body. Slowly breathe in for the count of four, exhale count of four and repeat six times.

Fourth, move your body. I personally love to get outside and ground myself on the grass, or beach. I love to take long walks in nature. And every day I make sure to use my vibration plate for ten minutes during the day and 1-3 minutes before bed. It completely releases every cell in my body and gets the nervous system regulated. There are so many benefits and using it for the last month has changed how I feel in ways I'm deeply grateful for - especially the quality of my sleep!
Fifth, be sure you are properly hydrated. To see Sadly, one of the biggest challenges we face as women over 50 is dehydration. Sheesh, our country is walking around dehydrated. Most people do NOT consume enough water and minerals each day, and without the proper balance we will experience things such as brain fog, anxiety, depression, fatigue, muscle soreness, and more. You can read my post I wrote about it here.
