Good Morning Precious Sister! TGIF! Can I get an amen?

Today, we are going to discuss steps I've taken and suggest to all of my clients who are doing the inner healing work along with me.
Before we begin, please take a slow deep breath in and exhale even slower.
Please say this out loud -
I AM ENOUGH
I AM WORTHY
I AM IMPORTANT
I AM LOVEABLE
I AM SAFE NOW
I AM BEAUTIFUL JUST AS I AM
I AM KIND
I AM CALM
I AM PEACEFUL
I AM CHOSEN
I AM LOVED
I AM FORGIVEN
I AM NOT FORESAKEN
I HAVE ALL I NEED (Read Psalm 23 at least once a week over yourself)
Take another deep breath in and let it out slowly.
As trauma coach and wellness educator, I can't implore you enough to do the inner healing work. Seek God like never before and learn how to rebalance, renew and restore your well-being. What I've personally learned and experienced because of my own abuse and trauma has forever changed me and the way I look at healing the brain and body.
Remember it is a journey, not a destination. It is not instant and as God tells us it's a lifelong path ever before us.
I read this last week, and it explains that perfectly.
"In trauma recovery, we are not escaping what happened to us, we are not erasing what happened to us nor will we ever get to a place where what happened to us didn’t happen. We are journeying to a place where our core systems — Belief, Value and Power/Purpose can support the weight of what happened to us. That is our remission phase.
Getting to our “remission” phase doesn’t mean we are healed or cured, it means our symptoms have decreased or disappeared because our healed beliefs, value and purpose/power have become strong enough to manage the triggers and memories that attack our truth, identity and personal agency."
We all know that stress plays the biggest part in all of our health challenges and how we are going to get through perimenopause and menopause. Actually, how we will age and what our quality of life will be.
Stress causes inflammation. Inflammation is the root cause of every dis-ease. Childhood trauma that is unresolved and not dealt with causes our brain and bodies to malfunction. And when we don't release and deal with the unresolved trauma in our bodies - it affects how we feel and live every single day. Stress - perceived and real affects our brains, nervous system and how we react to daily stressors.
Next, hot flashes are due to charges in the HYPOTHALAMUS
Below is a page out of my e-Book Your Brain is Speaking and Your Body is Listening

As ESTROGEN drops, your hypothalamus becomes more sensitive and responds with HOT FLASHES
If you have any level of impaired immunity and organ function, STRESS or TRAUMA the hypothalamus (shrinks) will already be weakened and sensitive due to the amygdala (fear center in the brain) is too big and overactive (fight/flight)
Which is a BIG PROBLEM because the hypothalamus is key for all hormonal functioning.
The hypothalamus controls
the endocrine system
immune system
all neurological systems
the metabolism
heart and respiratory rate
temperature
sleep cycles
energy output
sex drive
fertility
skin color
stress response
As a trauma and brainspotting practitioner I'm all about hypothalamic health.
Why? Because every system depends on it!
And there is NO hormone health without hypothalamus health.

As I hope you now understand, gaining control of your brain health in order to balance your entire body is vitally important. One of the easiest ways to regenerate and help the brain rebalance is through specific photomodulation patches. I teach about them in my private FB group and a community specific for the patches. And if you follow me on social media then you have seen me raving about all the miraculous testimonies shared with me.
There are many potential causes of hormonal imbalances in both men and women. The most common causes are imbalances due to diet, life stressors, environment, age, or lifestyle. Women are more likely to experience imbalances in estrogen, progesterone, and thyroid. In men, low testosterone levels are common. Both women and men can have imbalances in other neurohormones, such as insulin (balances blood sugar), cortisol (helps to manage stress and anxiety, and DHEA (fights stress and depression; decreases brain inflammation.

When the brain (amygdala, pituitary and pineal glands) goes into overdrive the body then responds. There are four ways in which the body reacts to stress and excess hormones.

Now let's talk about the steps I have taken and continue to do each day to deal with aftermath of a lifetime of abuse and trauma.
First, I can’t stress enough how important it is for your overall wellness to help the body reduce inflammation, while simultaneously regenerate the pineal gland, hypothalamus and liver! Not to mention every cell in the human body.
Second, I practice what I preach.
I strive for 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
I speak life over myself and circumstances and remain in His word each day.
I eat whole foods and avoid excess sugar and processed junk.
I move my body every single day - walking, rebounding, vibration plate and infrared sauna.
I hydrate my body first thing each morning with 20oz of water and then drink water with Celtic salt throughout the day and right before bed.
I wear photo modulation patches every single day (they have literally changed and probably saving my life). All without needing to take another supplement or worry about side effects etc. As you begin your healing journey and incorporate patches the body will naturally want to detox (inflammation and toxins) as it’s created to do.
I have clear and safe boundaries with all relationships.
I use the tools necessary when my body and brain are not in alignment.
I give myself grace on the days where none of the above work.
I utilize breathing and grounding myself on the grass or at the beach.
I journal and begin each day with gratitude. End each day with three things I am grateful for. This alone will radically increase the benefits of everything you are doing and change your life.
Twice a year I do liver detoxes. You can learn about all the ways to detox your body by checking out my SHOP.
Healing can often feel like a full-time job. When that happens, I listen to my body and rest. Rest is just as vital and holy as praying, serving, and loving others. Don't ignore the body when it is asking for rest. Trust in the process and just let go and yes, LET GOD!
Now take a look at how effective exercise is on all parts of the brain and then how big of an impact that it has on the body.

Nervous system and hormone regulation are the two most powerful first steps to take in your over-all wellness journey! Especially after abuse, loss, trauma and anyone over the age of 45! Renew your mind and your body will follow.
Yes, you can delay menopause naturally by working on regenerating the endocrine system and liver. Women can go through peri/menopause symptom free by learning to live a REGENERATIVE LIFESTYLE!
The great time of change is not meant to be exasperating and dreaded like so many are made to believe. It can actually be the greatest opportunity of our lives and lead us literally into our second spring season if you will. Peaceful. Calm. Relaxed. Rejuvenated. Wild and free to be yourself exactly as God created you to be!
It does require taking ACTION though and supporting our bodies (and minds!) in all the right ways. No matter your starting point, you can absolutely be SYMPTOM FREE and turn this time into THE BEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE!
It does require ACTION though.
It doesn’t have to be HARD.
But you do have to be consistent. Don’t quit before the true inner healing begins!
Remember a little patience won’t hurt either.
Keep learning and giving yourself grace along the way.
Don't be stuck on a timeline or expect results before the body has done what it needs to do each step of the way.
OK, that was a lot to take in and my hope is that you will read my entire e-Book on the brain and body so that you can truly grasp how important it is to renew your mind after abuse, divorce, loss and trauma.
Next week I will be writing about stress and the effect it has on the adrenal glands. If you have any questions about what I've shared so far this month, then please use the contact form on my website. I will get back to you within 24 hours.
